Kaltenborn-Evjenth OMT meeting announced, Zaragoza, Spain, September 11 – 13, 2015

Olaf Evjenth and I, both in our 90’s, announced our retirement from teaching at an international Kaltenborn-Evjenth (K-E) teacher’s meeting in Gran Canary Island, Spain on January 10, 2014. To ensure the future quality of OMT education associated with our names, we requested that the most recent developments in our concept be shared with all K-E instructors throughout the world. An Executive Board was elected and charged with this task.

  • César Hidalgo, President (Spain)
  • Ragnar Faleij, Vice President (Sweden)
  • Tim McGonigle, Secretary (USA)
  • Jutta Affolter Helbling, Treasurer (Switzerland)
  • Andreas Gattermeier (Austria)
  • Markku Paatelma (Finland)
  • Sigurd Slaastad (Norway)

This year (2014), Kaltenborn-Evjenth OMT was established as a non-profit organization in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland. The immediate goals of Kaltenborn-Evjenth OMT are to enhance communication, collaboration and comradeship between all K-E instructors, to update and standardize teaching materials and activities of those using the Kaltenborn-Evjenth name, to share current scientific investigation regarding the application of the K-E Concept, and the development of a network of instructors recognized by the System.

The first International meeting of Kaltenborn-Evjenth OMT will be held in Zaragoza, Spain between September 11 and 13, 2015 with the purpose of establishing a renewed structure of the K-E Concept and a platform for future exchange. Activities will include updating educational standards, sharing of teaching materials, and recertification of current Kaltenborn-Evjenth Concept instructors. Further details should be available by the end of December 2014. Attendance is by invitation only.
